Herefordshire has a rich mix of small and medium sized not for profit providers delivering essential health and social care support to vulnerable adults, young people and children.
Many work under contract to the local authority or NHS and are subject to the rigorous procedures surrounding tendering and procurement.
hvoss holds a quarterly health and social care forum for organisations working with older people and interest groups for children (CHIG) and young people (YIG). Open to all hvoss members, these networks provide a supportive focus for their activities. Issues of relevance regarding commissioning, contracts or marketing of services are discussed, with speakers invited on key topics relevant to our sector. Where appropriate, hvoss also represents members’ interests at strategic panels or at the commissioning stage.
