Level 2 Award in Youth and Community Work
This course is aimed at volunteers, part time youth workers and people wanting to start in youth work.
The course delivers:
30 hours classroom taught content over 10 x 3 hour sessions
40 recorded reflective practice hours from a work based placement
10 hours of field work supervision.
The course covers:
Understanding Youth Work Principles and Practice
Youth Work Principles, Knowledge and Skills in Work-Based Practice
An awareness of Safeguarding working with Children & Young People
This course covers 2 of the mandatory units for students wanting to progress to the Level 2 certificate in Youth & Community work.
Cost of course is £30 to cover OCN registration.
The course is part of Herefordshire Council’s support for the Voluntary Community Sector through hvoss.
