GDPR workshop January

33 hvoss members attended a free data protection workshop held in Partnership with Kidwells Law Solicitors 33. The workshop covered legislative changes from May 2018, rights as a consumer, what charities can do with their data, cultures within organisation, confidentiality, how information is managed, mitigation of risks within organisations. The sessions assisted our members to think about compliance, and creating a culture to protect organisations and their data subjects.

Delivered by HEXAD information security services. Kidwells kindly provided resources for each delegate, with electronic copies circulated and available on request to all members or on the members area.

We provide information, guidance and support to volunteers, charities, voluntary and community groups in Herefordshire. All these organisations deliver public benefit and are not for profit. We are locally accountable to them through their membership of hvoss. Our vision is a vibrant and active local voluntary and community sector.

We develop constructive commissioning arrangements and partnership working between our members and others seeking to positively support community life in the county.
