Mental Capacity Act Self-Assessment
Herefordshire Safeguarding Adult Board brings together individuals and representatives from various agencies to work in partnership and develop best practice to keep adults at risk of harm and abuse safe.
It aims to make sure that adults receive a person-centred approach to care and that in all cases, their best interests are met.
This self-assessment carried out in conjunction with Herefordshire Council and Herefordshire Clinical Commissioning Group seeks to understand how well the Mental Capacity Act and Best Interest Decision Making is embedded into the practice of commissioned services within Herefordshire.
N.B. This is not an attempt to ‘catch you out’ or police you, it is a genuine enquiry to review any training or support we can offer you to improve application in practice.
