hvoss hosts two interest groups for organisations that work in health and social care: Heath & Social Care Forum and he Children’s Interest Group or CHIG.
Health & Social Care Forum meets bi-monthly in Hereford and provides a forum for members who are all not-for- profit providers of services to adults and adults with disabilities. Current members include Age UK, Alzheimer’s Society, Red Cross, West Mercia Women’s Aid, Aspire and many others. The group is currently chaired on by Richard Kelly, Trustee of hvoss.
Members also represent Health & Social Care Forum at relevant strategic or other partnership meetings in order to pass on important local information to the rest of the group. If you would like to attend a future meeting, please contact us.
CHIG meets bi-monthly in Hereford and provides a forum for not-for-profit providers of children’s services such as Barnardo’s, Action for Children, Hope and Deaf Direct. The group is currently chaired by Jacqui Bremner of Herefordshire Carers.
Members also represent CHIG at relevant strategic or other partnership meetings, such as the Children and Young People’s Partnership Forum, in order to pass on important local information to the rest of the group. YIG the interests and concerns of those working with Children and Young people are held within hvoss by the Youth Interest Group. This is a sub group of the hvoss Board and meets quarterly or in response to issues raised by member organisations of hvoss. It holds network meetings to gather youth organisations, share current activity and discuss the latest developments in Youth Work and the delivery of local youth services.
