ONSIDE– A charity which supports people’s well-being

They are looking for volunteers to become a RPR (Relevant Person’s Representative). An RPR is a person who ‘looks out’ for an older or disabled person living in residential care or a nursing home – making sure they are getting the right care and support and are being treated fairly. BROMYARD FOOD BANK & MONEY ADVICE CENTRE are recruiting money mentors 

They have seen an increase in people needing the support of the Money Advice Centre and need to generate more volunteers specifically for this service.Full training will be given for the role. The role is usually between 15 and 20 hours each month. Please contact for further information.


HOPE Are looking for Trustees

HOPE offers support to young people when a close family member is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, such as cancer or even Covid-19. They role of trustee is advertised on their website

Age Concern (Ross-on-Wye) are looking for volunteers to join the Companion Line Service supporting people who are isolated or lonely.

Volunteers make regular (usually weekly) phone calls to clients to have a friendly chat. The calls can be made from your home and the frequency and time of the calls can be fitted around your other commitments.

Marches Family Network are seeking Trustees who are passionate about creating a society that includes everyone, particularly people who have experience of social care, childcare, charities, business, or disability issues.  If you would like to become a trustee of our Charity please contact Louise on 01568 614908.


Herefordshire Riding for the Disabled wants volunteers to carry out a variety of tasks in the Centre.  The main roles are helping clients ride our ponies by leading or side-walking in our arena.  We also need volunteers for yard tasks such as mucking out stables, cleaning tack and field maintenance.

If you can volunteer at the same time each week this allows you to build up a rapport with clients and help our coaches enable them to get the most of our their equine therapy experience.  We welcome volunteers aged 14+


Herefordshire Veterans Support Centre needs volunteers to welcome visitors and assist the Centre Manager to support serving personnel, veterans, families and/or carers

SSAFA is seeking caseworkers to assist the armed forces community in our area. This is very rewarding work where you will make a positive contribution to military and ex-military people and their families who are in need of support. Full training is given and all out of pocket expenses are paid. You should have access to a car and be computer literate.

St Michael's Hospice has lots of opportunities for volunteers in the Hospice cafe and in the Whitecross Road Cafe as well as in retail outlets in Leominster, Tenbury Wells, Malvern, Ledbury, Hay-on-Wye, Ross-on-Wye and Hereford - Whitecross Road and Holmer Road.
