hvoss believes all young people in Herefordshire should be valued and respected for who they are and have access to quality safe opportunities to thrive through learning & fun.
To create a quality sustainable network of local youth and community support services and organisations.
To build the confidence, character and life skills of young people challenging them to be the best they can be.
hoss aims to facilitate collaboration, partnership working, training and other co-operation. Our main activities are: -
1. No Wrong Door (NWD)
NWD is a partnership youth work and infrastructure offer provided by 40 organisations offering a single point of contact for all young people, but targeted at those most in need, between the ages of 11 to 25 in Herefordshire to access:
A Safe Space to Talk: having someone to talk with who is non-judgemental and who then can open up to and be honest with, who supports their goals in life.
Find Help: where young people not always having the confidence in themselves, find appropriate advice and guidance on navigating to the adult world.
Make a Difference: to access a platform where they get support not only to be able to make a difference to their own lives but to others as well
NWD brings youth practitioners and agencies together to look at new ways of working, helping to identify and fill gaps in provision and share skills. Over the past 12 months NWD has supported just under 600 individual young people. See our dedicated NWD section for further information.
Whatever your local community needs youth@hvoss can provide a working solution. subject to funding. Please refer to our youth@hvoss brochure about the types of provision we can help develop.
