How to Get Help to Fill In Your Census
If you have received your census letter and you’re not sure what to do, don’t worry there is lots of help available.
You can visit the census website www.census.gov.uk or phone the Census Contact Centre on 0800 141 2021 to get answers to any questions you may have or request a paper form if you want one. You can also get a new access code if you have lost the one that came in the post. You can even make an appointment to fill in your census over the phone.
There are a range of accessibility tools that you will find on the Census Website www.census.gov.uk including British Sign Language Videos, Braille Guidance, Easy Read Leaflets and Census Guidance in a range of languages. There is also a translation service if you need it.
Closer to Home, there are two Census Support Centres in Herefordshire that you can visit to get help to complete your census or access a computer to fill in your questionnaire on line. The centres are operating an appointment system to maintain social distancing and to ensure they can offer a safe environment for you and their staff. You can find your nearest centre by visiting the census website, where you will also find the latest information on opening times, or you can call the Census Support Centres directly
All the support available is completely free, we will never ask you for money to get help to complete your census form.
