Citizens Advice Here to Help

Citizens Advice Herefordshire - Here to Help

Citizens Advice was founded during the second world war to help people with problems ranging from evacuation to rationing. Whilst the problems people face are now very different Citizens Advice has continued to adapt to the needs of the people living in the UK.

Last year was the busiest in our 81 year history; our UK advisers provided personal, free and independent advice to 18 people every minute and our website was viewed 62.8 million times.

For Citizens Advice Herefordshire, we have had to work very differently, as since March last year all our staff and volunteers have been working from home. We have continued to provide telephone and email advice on a range of issues from redundancy, benefits, debt, housing and family issues, that have been affecting people during the pandemic.

As we emerge from the lockdown, we are beginning to plan for a phased reopening of our face to face services in our offices in Hereford and outreach services in Ross and Bromyard. Whilst we do not know when this will be, we shall ensure all our clients, staff and volunteers are safe.

In the meantime, if you need advice please do not wait, contact us now.

You can either:

email us, giving a telephone number so that we can contact you: advice@cita.herefordshire.org.uk

text us on 0786 00 77 311, giving you name, postcode and advice area eg. benefits

or look online at www.citizensadvice.org.uk
