Volunteer Expo: 1 - 3 May 2020
The UK's newest, National Volunteering Event comes to the NEC Birmingham in May 2020. It is the first and only event of its kind in the UK.
Volunteer Expo is aimed at the third sector and will be hosted by Rotary. It will be the biggest exhibition of its kind and we expect hundreds of Voluntary organisations to target this event to increase brand awareness and highlight their cause.
The event will give organisations and charities the opportunity to showcase their projects and causes to thousands of people looking to get involved with volunteering or doing something worthwhile within their communities. We have a charity partner NCVO who have over 14,000 member organisations – a third of the voluntary sector workforce in England. Rotary has 45,000 members (in the UK and Ireland), so this event will be promoted to those members plus the general public at the NEC venue itself, through The Ticket Factory (who will be managing tickets for the event) and through the Rotary and NCVO networks, so it is certainly an opportunity to reach a very large audience to spread the word and fundraise too (fundraising can be done on stands).
Volunteer Expo will connect, educate and inspire volunteers, organisations and charities to change lives and to take action in their communities.
The Expo will launch promotion in the first week of May 2019 and at this stage has a substantial direct reach (14K mid/large charities, 35K micro/small charities, 2.2M consumers). We have targeted for the inaugural year to attract a minimum of 100 charities to exhibit, showcasing volunteering opportunities to the event’s visitors – our target in year one is 6000 visitors from across the United Kingdom and Ireland. The event itself is not simply an exhibition but in itself seeks to be a ‘social experience’ with hands-on project opportunities, intimate learning hubs and auditorium based key note speakers. We have been running three-day events such as this for over 85 years but this event seeks to go beyond Rotary’s own members to bring this wealth of volunteering opportunity to all our citizens; our aim is to have a multigenerational audience, giving a family experience. This will be much more than just an exhibition with practical demonstrations, competitions and key note speakers , so you may be interested in a speaker slot?
We have a number of opportunities now available for you to get involved in with stands starting at just £960 for the three days. I have attached an Exhibitor pack. Please visit www.volunteerexpo.co.uk to find out more about this event or please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
