Project Developer & Leader

The post is 15 hours per week to include some evening and Saturdays during term time. It is fixed term for two years, but subject to funding there may be the opportunity to extend the term of the post. The salary for the post is Pro rata to £24,218 – £13.27 per hour.

Are you passionate about creating positive change in your community? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Project Developer & Leader to join our small office team in Hereford.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Developer & Leader who has a passion for improving the youth provision within Herefordshire. We are keen to expand our youth and under 5 years provision to include an evening session. If you have previous leadership experience, can meet the requirements of the person specification and are happy working in a small office team, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities of the post are:

  • To plan, implement and review activities appropriate to the needs of young people at the agreed venue.    
  • To supervise the work of staff / volunteers and provide appropriate levels of support.
  • To assist the work of colleagues in the promotion and improvement of the work of the Charity.
  • To ensure full, timely, accurate documentation and reports are prepared and sent to the appropriate member of the office team.
  • To use information to identify and record achievements attained by the young people.
  • To ensure good communication with parents/carers, families and staff.
  • To record any changes in information and provide effective and appropriate communication with the office staff.
  • To ensure a working knowledge of the Charities policies is maintained.
  • To report any safeguarding concerns promptly following the Charity’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Safeguarding Adults Policy.
  • To inspire confidence and provide appropriate positive support for the young people.
  • To actively respond to suggestions and comments from the staff, service users and families and ensure this feedback is incorporated into future planning.
